Born and residing in Florence, she studied art and architecture, specializing in book-game design. She served as editorial and artistic director of the publishing house Fatatrac for 25 years. She has taught at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence and at ISIA Urbino, as well as collaborating with the International School of Illustration in Sàrmede.
A specialized art therapist, she leads therapeutic and training groups in her studio in Florence and at various institutions across Italy. She has curated exhibitions and seminars on Alvar Aalto and contributed to organizing collective exhibitions.
As a writer, painter, and illustrator, she has published around one hundred books with various publishers, winning awards such as the Andersen Prize and the Compostela Prize. Her works have been translated into multiple languages. She regularly participates in exhibitions in Italy and abroad and is actively involved in volunteering in pediatric wards, where some of her texts have been staged.
