Lucie Müllerová was born in Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic in 1977. She graduated from the Department of Graphic Arts at the University of Art and Design in Linz, Austria, in 2002, after which she attended illustration courses and began illustrating children’s books. Her first publications came out in the Czech Republic thanks to her collaboration with the VITALIS publishing house, for which she illustrated 8 titles for the Märchenreich series. He also devoted himself to educational illustration, collaborating with the National Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage in České Budějovice. Abroad, he publishes with Italian and Spanish publishers. In 2009 he won a prize together with Spanish author Pep Bruno in the IV Concurso Internacional de Album Ilustrado Biblioteca Insular of Cabildo de Gran Canaria with the project Un loro en mi granja and in 2010 he received a prize in Italy for the illustrations of Alfio e le scatole misteriose in the ‘Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cento’ Children’s Literature Prize competition. He realises his own book projects by experimenting with various painting and collage techniques.
