Tom Thumb is the smallest of seven brothers. He uses pebbles to mark the path but, once he runs out, he leaves breadcrumbs—which are eaten by birds. The brothers are then forced to seek shelter at the ogre’s house.
A story that has become a myth, here retold by the illustrator through the evocative silence of images.
