Luigi Dal Cin, born in Ferrara, has published over 100 books of children’s fiction, translated into 10 languages. He has received a dozen national awards for children’s literature, including the 2013 Andersen Award as author of the best book 6/9 years old. He is on the jury of literary competitions, teaches writing courses on writing for children, and is an author and director for the theatre. Theses on his work have been discussed at various Italian universities. Since 2003, he has collaborated with the International Exhibition of Illustration for Children ‘Le Immagini della Fantasia’ in Sarmede (TV), curating the fairy tales proposed. Since 2010 she has been collaborating with Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara with an editorial and theatrical project to tell children about Art Exhibitions. She conceived for Monumenti Aperti the project ‘Le parole della bellezza’ (The words of beauty) that she has been leading since 2013 to tell pupils about Italy’s historical-artistic-cultural heritage. Tireless and passionate is his activity of shows, meetings and writing workshops with children in theatres, schools and libraries throughout Italy.
