Maria Sole lives and works between Padua and Paris. She is a set and costume designer for the Teatro Bagaglino, and makes posters for many cultural associations. She works for various Italian and foreign publishing houses. She has created many illustrations for the Fiabe Sonore series of the Corriere della sera. She was awarded for the best illustrated book 0-6 years ‘Premio Zavrel’. She has taught ‘Fairy Tale Illustration’ at the Scuola del Fumetto and the Scuola Arte e Messaggio del Castello Sforzesco in Milan.
