Daniela Tieni

Daniela Tieni was born in Rome in 1982. She graduated in Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with a thesis in Aesthetics; she later obtained a Master’s degree in Artiterapies at the University of Roma Tre. In 2009, she began to approach the world of publishing. She currently works as a freelance illustrator for magazines and Italian and foreign publishing houses; she also collaborates with other artists on projects, collective exhibitions and self-productions. She was selected for the catalogue and exhibition at the international competition Ilustrarte for the biennial in 2016, 2012, 2014, 2009; at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2017 and 2012 and at the American competition 3X3 Magazine No.13. He has published with Rouergue, L’atelier du poisson soluble, Eli, El Verano del Cohete and Kite Editions. Confesso che ho desiderato, his first picture book, was selected for the 2011 Cj Picture Book Awards.
