Susanna Isern (La Seu d’Urgell, 1978) grew up surrounded by the Pyrenean mountains. As a child, what she enjoyed most was running from here to there while discovering incredible insects and helping sick or endangered animals. It was at that time that some of those animals began to tell stories in her ear, which she quickly transcribed into a notebook that she always carried with her.
Nowadays, the stories emerge in the most unexpected ways: some knock on the door, others are found hiding under the bed or swimming in milk, although most appear as butterflies he catches on the fly.
Since he published ‘Pilú, Pilú!’, his first illustrated album, in spring 2011, almost a hundred children’s books have seen the light of day. Most of his works are sold internationally and can be found in more than 30 languages: Spanish, Catalan, Galician, Basque, English, French, German, Armenian, Arabic, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Romanian, Slovenian, Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Lithuanian….
He currently resides in Santander. She combines her passion for writing with psychology. She has worked as a therapist in the private sector and as a professor of psychology at university.
