Ursula Bucher was born in Roveredo, a small village in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. At the age of 15, she moved to Lugano, where she attended the School Centre for Artistic Industries for five years, obtaining a diploma in graphic design in 1998. She then attended the ‘Emile Cohl’ school of illustration in Lyon, France, graduating in 2002. Since then she has been living in Lugano, where she works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer aided by her swaggering cat Valdo.
