Once upon a time there was a gigantic blue tree at the center of a city. It was so big its branches passed through people’s homes. Everyone loved it—except the king, who was jealous. One day, he ordered it to be cut down. But the trimmed branches left in the houses began to grow again—and each became a tree of its own. Today, the whole city is a beautiful blue forest.
A powerful metaphor about the limits of power and the unstoppable nature of freedom.
