Alessandro Sanna

Alessandro Sanna, born in 1975, lives and works in Mantua. He has illustrated books written by David Grossman, Italo Calvino, Roberto Piumini, Gianni Rodari, Vivian Lamarque. In 2000, he received the gold medal for watercolours at the Premio Nova Milanese. In 2006, he won the Andersen Prize in the category ‘best art book’ with the book ‘Have you ever seen Mondrian?’. He works with the most important European publishing houses. In 2007, he produced the interactive book ‘Painting Exhibition’ with the Corraini- Centre Pompidou co-edition. He works as an illustrator for Il Sole24ore. Soon to be published is an important illustrated book on Genesis published by Daniella De-nur Publishing of Tel-Aviv in Israel. He has exhibited in important group and solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
