Germana Urbani was born and lives in Urbana, a country village in the province of Padua. She lives in an ancient medieval courtyard with a husband, a son and three white geese.
She graduated in Literature at the University of Padua, a student of the poet and critic Silvio Ramat. She is a professional journalist and edited a free monthly magazine for more than a decade. Today she is also a teacher of literature in a high school.
Her second life began in 2011 when she got married and, while expecting her first child, started writing fiction and photography again. Much of her writing comes from images, through which she ‘calls things to herself’.
She attended the Rome Novel School and writing workshops of the Holden school and Bottega di Narrazione.
She started publishing short stories in various literary magazines and in 2021 her first novel “Chi se non noi” was published by Nottetempo publishing house. In 2022 he is among the authors of the anthology of noir short stories ‘Il rosso e il Noir’ ed. BookTribu.
With Kite Edizioni she is among the authors of the illustrated book Mind the gap.
