Marta Bassotti

She was born in Ancona in 1989 and since childhood, drawing has been her greatest passion. She attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino. During the three-year period, her passion for art grew closer and closer to that for fairy tales, so much so that she decided to write and illustrate a children’s story and present it as her graduation thesis, for which she received her 1st level art diploma with honours in 2012. The same year she decided to approach a career as an illustrator, and enrolled in the Mimaster, thanks to which she began to make her first contacts with the world of work. In 2013, having finished her Master’s year, and having published some of the work she had done during the year, she decided to complete her studies at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, where she was about to take her 2nd level diploma. In the meantime, she still remains active in the field of illustration, publishing for various publishing houses including Feltrinelli, Deagostini, RCS libri and Kite Edizioni.
