Satoe Tone was born in Japan and now lives and works in Milan.
She studied illustration and graphic design in Kyoto and furthered her studies in England.
She loves drawing animals and nature.
She likes to look at things from unusual points of view and that is how she usually finds inspiration. This I Can Do It, her first book, was published by Kite in 2011.
Since then, Satoe Tone has signed more than ten illustrated books, which have been published and translated worldwide.
The artist was selected by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2012, the Society of Illustrators in New York in 2013 and Illustrarte in Lisbon in 2014. Il viaggio di Pippo is the album she created as the winner of the prestigious 2013 Fundaciòn SM International Illustration Award, Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
